💚💛 Buc Coin Spotlight! 💛💚
We love celebrating students who represent East Chambers Jr. High with outstanding character!
A neighboring district recently called our campus just to brag on Damara after a recent track meet. When the meet was over, Damara asked for a trash bag so she could help pick up trash in the visitor stands before leaving. No one asked her to do it—she simply saw a need and stepped up.
Her actions made such an impression that they wanted to recognize her kindness by buying her lunch and awarding her a Buc Coin!
Damara, thank you for showing what it means to be a Buc—leading with respect, responsibility, and pride wherever you go. We are proud of you for representing ECJH so well! 👏

🎥 Lights, Camera, Bucs Live! 🎬
Our East Chambers 7th & 8th grade students are taking learning to the next level in Coach Beighley’s Audio & Video I/II classes at East Chambers Independent School District!
Each week, students produce Bucs Live!, a school news program that keeps our campus and community informed. Their broadcasts feature:
• Local and neighboring community news
• The weekly weather forecast
• Highlights and promotions for school and district-wide events
From writing scripts and filming to editing and on-air hosting, our students are building real-world media skills while keeping everyone connected.
We’re proud of their creativity, teamwork, and professionalism — the future of broadcasting looks bright at East Chambers! 🏴☠️📺

7th Grade Social Studies in action!
Students dove into the Age of Reform and explored the role of the Texas Railroad Commission to understand how it shaped Texas government during the Progressive Era.
With guidance from the amazing Coach Rupp, the class rotated through five interactive stations, working in groups to analyze information, answer questions, and connect how reform efforts impacted the state then—and how those decisions still influence Texas today.
Great teamwork, critical thinking, and engagement from our future leaders! #ProgressiveEra #TexasHistory #7thGradeSuccess

This week at ECJH!

Our 7th graders dove into Earth science this week as they explored the movement of tectonic plates with Mrs. Parnell! Students modeled different types of plate boundaries—convergent, divergent, and transform—to see firsthand how our planet’s surface is constantly changing.
The best part? They created edible models to demonstrate their learning… and then enjoyed a tasty reward for their hard work!
Hands-on learning + creativity + a little science you can eat = a lesson they won’t forget!

Congratulations to our ECJH January Students of the Month! Great Job Bucs 💚💛

The staff at East Chambers Junior High would like to give special thanks to Jay and Morgan Rayburn for the delicious taco soup, the ECHS Culinary students for making the savory chicken spaghetti, and all other staff who donated food and desserts yesterday to feed everyone during our district UIL competition! It was a wonderful lunch, and enjoyed by all! Thank you!
