This is my 17th year in the district and 12th year as a middle school counselor. There is no other place I would rather be! I was drawn to this helping profession while I was a teacher my first few years. I absolutely loved teaching, but something else was tugging at my heart. I wanted to be able to work with kids not just in reading and writing, but with the hard experiences that life would probably throw their way. What better place to help with that than middle school! Yes, I may have helped kids, given advice, talked to parents and teachers, but they have taught me more than they will ever know. Our kids are amazing and resilient through the many hardships they encounter. I feel blessed to be able to say I've witnessed many changes in lives over the course of this career. and I'm grateful that I was given the opportunity to be a part of their lives. East Chambers has become my second family and I'm incredibly proud to not only work here, but to also have my children here as Buccaneers!
