As a dedication to the brief but beautiful lives of Zane Palmer and Schaefer Camryn McGhee, East Chambers ISD has planted twin oak trees near the EC Child Care Center to serve as a living memorial to their memory. May they represent a symbol of strength, hope, and the enduring love their parents and community will always carry in their hearts.
Zane Palmer was delivered on January 24, 2023, and was not able to make it having been born at just 20 weeks. We mourn his passing along with his parents Kirk and Erin Palmer and siblings Easton and Kassidy.
Schaefer Camryn McGhee passed away at just 45 days after her birth on May 30, 2024, We mourn her passing along with her parents Cameron and Kaley McGhee and brother Lawton. And we understand there is another sibling we are expecting soon.

The Boys Basketball playoff game this Friday 2/21 vs Hitchcock will be @ GCM High School at 7pm. Gates open at 630pm. Tickets are on sale at the link below. They are under the GCM tab on the GCM ticketing site: https://www.gccisd.net/page/Athletics. There will be a QR code available to purchase tickets at the gate as well. There will be a convenience charge added to the $5 ticket. The following passes will be accepted at the gate: district passes, senior citizen passes, and THSCA coaching passes.
