Texas law now requires school districts to distribute information to parents and guardians about the safe storage of firearms. The attached information was sent home with your child and sent to the email we have on file. It will help you learn about options for, as well as how to talk to your child and others about, the safe storage of firearms.

The five year grant ECISD was awarded for its after school ACE program has completed its fifth and final year. While the district applied for the next cycle to continue operating the program, it was not chosen by the Texas Education Agency for what it describes as its most competitive statewide grant. We will continue to operate several after school programs for students under other grants and local initiatives for K-5 students for two hours after school with a snack provided; however, transportation will not be provided. Contact your child's campus principal for information about after school services that will be provided.
