East Chambers ISD continued its new annual campus walkthrough initiative in January, welcoming four additional members of the Board of Trustees onto district campuses to connect with students and staff and observe learning in action.
Board President Scott Jones, Frank Abalos, Everett Guillory, and Kelley Touchet visited several classrooms across the district, engaging with students and gaining firsthand insight into instructional environments.

During the visits, board members observed high school Career and Technical Education (CTE) classes, including culinary arts and cosmetology, toured junior high band classes, and visited a variety of other classrooms at all four campuses. These walkthroughs provided opportunities for meaningful conversations with students and staff while highlighting the diverse learning experiences offered throughout ECISD.

This initiative reflects the board’s commitment to staying connected to classrooms and strengthening communication between district leadership, educators, and students. By stepping into learning spaces, trustees are able to better understand and celebrate the work happening across East Chambers ISD campuses each day.
