Good morning, East Chambers Elementary Families,
We want to make you aware of an exciting opportunity for families of eligible students.
The Texas Education Agency has created the Parent Access to Supplemental Supports (PASS) program that provides eligible students with a $400 grant that can be used to pay for approved early literacy tutoring services. Beginning Fall 2026, families may use these funds with a state-approved tutoring provider to help strengthen their child's reading skills.
To be eligible, a student must:
Be currently enrolled in a Texas public school, and
Have scored "Did Not Meet Grade Level" in Reading on the 3rd Grade STAAR assessment.
To help families learn more about the PASS program, the Texas Education Agency will host the following informational webinars:
Zoom meeting links for each session will be available through the PASS program information provided by TEA.
We encourage eligible families to attend one of these webinars to learn more about the program, approved tutoring providers, and how to access these funds.
