Elementary Fall Fest This Saturday fallfest

East Chambers Elementary will have Fall Fest on Saturday, October 29th from 3:00 – 5:00 pm.  There will be lots of games, activities, and fun for the whole family.  You can even wear your favorite costume!  All proceeds go straight into the student activity account and benefit all students of East Chambers Elementary.  Come and join the fun!!!  If you have any questions, feel free to contact the school office at (409) 296-2980.

Band Honoring long time educator with donation band-ee-form

We are dedicating our last home game of the season on November 4th to long time educator Mrs. Essie Espinosa. 

We will be selling the shirts below to wear at the last home game of the season.  All proceeds raised will be donated at halftime in her honor to the American Cancer Society!

Varsity Football Updates Varsity Football

The Bucs lost to La Marque 40 to 28 last Friday night. They will take on the Hitchcock Bulldogs in Hitchcock Friday night at 7:30. Go Bucs!


JV Football Updates JV Football

On Thursday, October 13, the JV Buccaneers traveled to Hardin to take on the Hornet football team. The Bucs won the contest 32-12. The offense was lead by Nolton Shelvin fresh off an injury. He had 12 carries for 186 yards and 2 touchdowns. Defensively, Axsel Castillo lead the Bucs with 15 solo tackles, 2 assists, 6 tackles for a loss, 1 pass break up, and 1 QB pressure. He also had a caused fumble. The Bucs are 5-2 for the year. This week the Bucs take on LaMarque at home.

JH Football Updates

The Buccaneers took on the Hardin Hornets at Buccaneer Stadium last Thursday. The  7th graders battled the Hornets the entire game. Caden Smith had the highlight of the night with his 100 yard interception return for a touchdown, which gave the Bucs an 8-0 lead. The Bucs would fall to the Hornets 20-8 in a very competitive game.

The 8th grade Bucs also took on the Hornets from Hardin. EC would jump out to a 26-0 lead in the first half. The Bucs were led offensively by Mason Schepf. Mason ran the ball for 165 yards on 6 carries and had 3 touchdowns. He was also helped by running back, Ja'Sean Franklin, who carried the ball 9 times for 146 yards and 2 touchdowns. Defensively, the Bucs were led by Franklin who had 5 tackles and 2 for loss and Devyn Trevino who had a big hit for a loss. The Bucs improve to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in district.

Both groups travel to LaMarque next Thursday for a big district game.
