Buc
Band Marches at Disney World |
|
The
Buccaneer Band participated
in the Celebration Parade in
Magic Kingdom at 2:30 p.m.
on March 7, 2010. The
Buccaneer Band was the first
group in the entire parade.
With over 65,000 visitors,
the parade was full of
excitement as the new East
Chambers band banner was
carried by Jacob Sims, Dylan
Silcox, and Kelly Silcox.
The banner looked as sharp
as the entire band.
The drum majors, Gloria
Ramirez and Heather
Streeter, also displayed
great pride in showing their
salutes before each of the
patriotic selections. Those
selections included
America, The Beautiful,
My Country ‘Tis of Thee,
Battle Hymn of the
Republic and concluded
with the introduction and
first two strains of The
Buccaneer Fight Song “On
Wisconsin.” It was an
event the entire community
can take pride in knowing
how well the band performed
and executed during, before,
and after the parade. The
positive comments made by
people in the crowds, the
cheers, and the accolades
were overwhelming and made
all the students feel
extremely proud to be a part
of this great event.
The band sincerely
appreciates all of you that
supported their efforts to
be apart of this awesome
event during spring break.
It was a life-changing
experience for many, if not
all, of the students and
parents that attended. View
