February 16,
2011
East Chambers Elementary PTO officers would like to THANK everyone for their
continued support!
From August 2010 thru February 2011, we have raised over $4,000 from
membership dues, selling spirit items, and selling flowergrams. The
2010-2011 school year has been a FANTASTIC year for PTO!
As stated in our previous update, the PTO purchased and donated to the
elementary campus, a popcorn machine and the supplies needed to sponsor
popcorn parties throughout the year for various activities and contests. In
addition, we have recently purchased six 2-way radios for the staff to use
in daily communications around the campus and in situations such as fire
drills. We also purchased $350 of supplies for the “Art Room."
We have awarded two grades with a popcorn party as winners of the first
“Good Citizen Star Contest” and awarded four grades with a hot chocolate
party as winners of the second “Good Citizen Star Contest."
PTO members continue to help teachers and staff on campus with various
projects such as helping with the high demand for preparing/supplying
Buccaneer Bucks and Good Citizen Stars to the teachers to give to students
with good behavior.
Again, THANKS to everyone for the fantastic support! |

November 12,
2010
This
year, the East Chambers Elementary PTO is working hard to become more active
and involved with teachers, staff, parents, and students at East Chambers
Elementary. Teachers are always in need of volunteer help to make copies,
cut things out, and create various craft projects. If you have a few minutes
or a few hours and would like to help, please contact Bernie Delaune at
(409) 658-2451. For more information, and Spanish translation, visit this

ECE PTO
officers would like to thank everyone for their continued support. From
August 2010 through November 12, 2010, we have raised approximately $1,400
from membership dues and selling spirit items. This is a fantastic start to
the 2010-2011 school year!
At the request of Ms. Otto, the PTO purchased and donated to the elementary
campus a popcorn machine and the supplies needed to sponsor popcorn parties
throughout the year for various activities and contests that will take
place. One such contest is the "Good Citizen Stars" contest. All grade
levels participate in the “Good Citizen Stars” contest each six weeks, and
the winner will receive a popcorn party. You can see the progress of each
grade on the bulletin board in the Kindergarten hallway near the cafeteria.
The “Good Citizen Stars” contest is a great incentive to encourage students
to use good manners and make good choices.
The winners of the “Good Citizen Stars” contest for the six weeks ending
November 12 were Kindergarten and 4th grade. Their popcorn parties took
place on November 12.
