ECE Golf
Cart Winner Selected |
 |
During Fantastic
Friday on May 16, the drawing for the ECE
golf cart was held, and 4th
grader, Darius Guillory, was the
lucky winner. Darius is pictured
in the cart with Mrs. Bauer,

as his homeroom teacher, Mrs.
Bevel and his brother Jayce.
Throughout the school
year, students receive tickets
for perfect attendance, no tardies, good grades, and each
six weeks the tickets are added
to the hopper. It was estimated
that this year's winner had a 1
in 12,000 chance.
This year's cart was sponsored
by Pat Cousins, owner of MCT
Sheet Metal with offices in Katy
and Fannett. |

Darius visited with Mr. Cousins
by phone to thank him. Mr. Cousins

Student Safety A Priority: No
Flip-Flops |
|
Students in elementary grades abide by
a campus dress code that does not allow students to wear
flip-flops. The reason is simple: Student Safety. Young children
are very active during P.E. and recess; in the past we have had several
injuries due to students wearing shoes that were not safe during physical
activities. We appreciate the effort on your part in helping us enforce this
safety measure.
Shoes should not detract or interfere
with the learning environment or present a safety or health hazard.
Students may not wear cleats, slippers, thongs, backless sandals or
flip-flops. All shoes must have straps around the back of the shoe.
For safety and health reasons, shoes must be tied or fastened according to
the shoe style.
